When a leading marine OEM needed a compact, corrosion-resistant DC motor for their bilge and ballast systems, they partnered with Dumore Motors to develop a solution engineered to withstand years of vibration, salt spray, and continuous duty. Working directly with the OEM’s engineering team, Dumore created a custom PMDC assembly based on the DM32 platform—complete with marine-grade coatings, stainless hardware, and sealed bearings to meet stringent IP67 submersion requirements.
In a separate project, a deck-equipment manufacturer relied on Dumore to design a right-angle gear motor for a low-noise hydraulic winch actuator. The final design included custom windings for increased torque density, EMI/RFI filtering to protect sensitive onboard electronics, and a robust epoxy coating formulated for long-term saltwater exposure.
