Dumore in Commercial Vehicles

When a major manufacturer of construction and heavy-duty trucks needed a compact DC motor to power tarp-roller systems and lift mechanisms, they turned to Dumore Motors for a solution that could withstand dust, vibration, impact loads, and year-round exposure to the elements. Working alongside their engineering team, Dumore developed a custom PMDC gear motor based on the DM32 platform— optimized for torque density and brush life, and built with sealed housings, corrosion-resistant finishes, and EMI protection for reliable field operation.

Dumore collaborated with a commercial-equipment OEM to design a motor-and-gear assembly that combined high starting torque with a compact footprint to fit within an existing chassis envelope. The final design incorporated custom windings, upgraded bearings, environmental sealing, and integrated control features to ensure long-term durability under continuous duty and severe-duty cycles.
